The Bouctouche Farmers Market Lexicon Project
Over the course of two weeks, I collaborated with the Bouctouche Farmers Market (BFM) and its creative director to create a unique photography series titled the “Lexicon of Resiliency.”
The goal of the project was to spark conversations about agriculture by using words and images as powerful tools to educate and inspire. As part of BFM’s mission to promote good, clean, and fair food, I captured on-site portraits of vendors in their own environments, showcasing their connection to the land, their craft, and their stories. Each image reflected the market’s lexicon theme, emphasizing the importance of resiliency and sustainability in our food systems.
Through this work, we aimed to empower consumers to make informed choices—not only to select healthy foods but to understand the origins of what they eat and the significance of supporting local producers. The Lexicon of Resiliency stands as a testament to the shared commitment of BFM and its vendors to build a more conscious and sustainable food culture.
