Hey I’m Sylvie,
A professional photographer with over 15 years experience as a visual artist based in New-Brunswick, Canada. Eight of those years were spent as a professional makeup artist in Toronto’s film and fashion industry.
My past experience in combining colours and creating narratives as a make-up artist has had a significant influence on my work as a photographer today. The results of that combination produce rich, elegant, harmonized images that evoke emotions.
My approach to photography focuses on using natural light when available along with trusting in not just what I see, but how I see it.
Food, travel and portraits along with the beauty of the world around me are all things I like to explore in my photography.

2023 Short Listed for Pink Lady Food Photography Award
When I heard the news that my photography submission had been shortlisted by Pink Lady Food Photography for The Claire Aho Award for Women Photographers, I was over the moon.
This award is a prestigious competition of international scale open to all women photographers. And as the saying goes…it’s an honour just to have been nominated. To be chosen from thousands of entries, I feel I am a winner already.
